Rechargeable hearing aids

Hear well, worry less

New devices enter the market every year. First came hearing aids with rechargeable batteries and then came the latest innovation—rechargeable hearing aids. It’s better to use hearing aids with rechargeable batteries than to buy new ones every time. However, it still requires the user to remove the cells at night and put it back after it’s charged in the morning.

So what makes rechargeable hearing aids better?

  • You charge the actual device (not the batteries), so it’s less of a worry! It comes with a charging pod that you can carry with you to charge on the go.
  • You no longer need to spend money on new batteries.
  • You no longer have to change small batteries, which can be a problem for people with limited dexterity.

Is it expensive?

The more advanced the features and the higher the listening experience it offers, the more the device will cost. The initial cost of a rechargeable hearing aid may be higher than for non-rechargeable hearing aids if the charger needs to be purchased separately. However, over the long run you may be saving costs since you will no longer need to buy new batteries every couple of weeks. You can rely on us to answer your questions and help you choose the hearing aids that will suit your personal needs and budget best.

Fitting and availability

Because rechargeable hearing aids are similar to non-rechargeable devices and feel the same to wear, the fitting procedure is no different. Rechargeable devices were initially only available as behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aids with external receivers. However, many of the hearing aid manufacturers we work with now also offer rechargeable ITE and stronger BTE models.
